Dr. Neena Petersen

Physical Therapist

Neena is the founder and owner of Peak Balance Physical Therapy. As a Physical Therapist, Neena has had the opportunity to work in many different settings over the years. She has experience in acute hospital care, home health physical therapy, and outpatient orthopedics, allowing her to work with patients at all different stages of their recovery. Neena is passionate about helping patients restore quality movement and function in their daily lives.

Neena became passionate about treating scoliosis when she discovered her daughter’s scoliosis. This opened her eyes to the complexities of scoliosis and set her on the path to figure out how to provide her daughter with effective and safe physical therapy treatment.

She attended the Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School (BSPTS-North America) course to get evidence-based knowledge on scoliosis and effective treatment strategies for patients with scoliosis and kyphosis. Learning more about scoliosis gave her comfort as a mother and confidence as a therapist in being able to provide her patients with a high quality of care.

Entering the scoliosis world with her daughter’s diagnosis allowed Neena to witness firsthand, as well as speak with fellow parents and therapists, about the deficit of therapists with scoliosis training to treat scoliosis patients effectively. The natural next step was for her to open her own practice to share the knowledge and skills she’s acquired through her experience.
